Over the weeks of surfing various websites like Smashwords and Amazon, I am beginning to notice that there is another existent group of authors who think that it does not matter how they portray themselves in the book covers as long as they have an image out there that will ‘pull someone’ into buying their book.
The funny thing is this: what exactly pulls someone into buying your book?
Below are a series of cover images I have selected from various authors. I deliberately chose these photos because of to prove the following: (1) art needs to catch the interest of the viewer (2) subjectivity is not free from artistic professionalism.
If any of these pictures pull your interest, please provide a comment and explain why such and such a image does. Honestly, I cannot think of any particular person who would really take interest into buying these books.
