Hey Parker,

Thanks for giving me the chance to read THE RESURRECTION. It was a clever book. Reminded me a lot of both Monteleone’s THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB and Long’s YEAR ZERO, although those were obviously designed to be more sinister. You did a good job of framing the story and crating solid characters. You should be proud of your accomplishment.

As far as marketing it to the majors, I think you’d be better served finding a good religious specialty press that knows how to attack your designated niche market. (You could always try to sign an agent who can get you into the Big Six, too.) Don’t underestimate the power of the smaller presses to get your books into the hands of the right readers and get the word out there. Most of my books have a nice hardcover limited edition and short-run paperback that make me a couple grand and reach the right audience. I hang onto (most of) my e-rights and pretty much double that money. This might not be the advice you want to hear, but it’s solid advice, nonetheless. It allows you to isolate and then build your target audience. I wish I knew which presses would make the best matches for you, but you should be able to find them for yourself without much difficulty.

It’s a good book that I hope more people get a chance to read. 🙂

Take care,

Mike
